Much of the work of Beatrix Potter (1866-1943), the creator of Peter Rabbit and many beloved children’s characters, is now in the public domain. This is great news for anyone wishing to create derivative works from her art or simply read and enjoy her books online for free. The Archive’s Texts collection includes many of her illustrated stories which may be browsed, downloaded, or shared.
